BCD Meetings & Events Wins SITE Crystal Award

CHICAGO, IL – November 7, 2016 – BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) won a 2016 SITE Crystal Award for “Most Impactful Effort toward Corporate Social Responsibility as Part of an Incentive Program” at the Crystal Awards Recognition Ceremony held November 6 during the SITE Global Conference in Panama City, Panama.

BCD M&E won the SITE Crystal Award for designing Goodyear’s annual incentive trip which they executed with their valued DMC partner, AMSTAR. The goal for Goodyear’s program to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico was to reward and connect customers from across the Americas region. For the first time, a CSR component was integrated into the program to bring the group closer together and to positively impact the lives of the local community with a lasting contribution—a new playground for a local school in need.
“BCD M&E created an opportunity outside the corporate setting for our customers and hosts to connect in a meaningful way and form friendships giving back to the local community,” said Mark McDonald, Director, Customer Relations & Events, Goodyear. “One thousand children now have a fun playground that promotes health and well-being, and the engagement among our customers and associates translated to engagement back at the office. It was a true success to everyone involved.”
